The S.O.F.A. Project

You can help to make a house a home by donating. Don't throw it - donate it.

We need anything modern and useable which is in good condition and which will help to set up a home - including pots and pans, fridges, electric cookers, soft furnishings, furniture, televisions, sound systems and bric-a-brac.

This is not only assisting those in need, but environmentally sound. RECYCLING useable products must be more socially acceptable than committing them to landfill sites. So yes, we're talking about your unwanted, MODERN, GOOD QUALITY electrical appliances and furniture!

WHAT DOES S.O.F.A. TAKE EXACTLY?
What don't we take? We always need working electrical appliances (fridges, freezers, electric cookers), soft furnishings that are less than 10 years old and in good condition (beds, three piece suites), hard furnishings which aren't too big and, again, are in good condition (wardrobes, chests of drawers) We also take smaller items such as bedding, curtains, garden tools - everything really from Armchairs to Z-beds !

WHERE DO ITEMS GO?
All items go to LOCAL people from a variety of backgrounds: formerly homeless people, single parents, people with disabilities. In fact, anyone that receives benefits or who are on a low income are entitled to receive goods. All items are provided for an affordable donation appropriate to status - NOT FOR A PROFIT - we make just enough money to pay the bills.
